This year’s Winter Recital, “GYMANJI” will feature animal-themed performances by (select) dance classes and ALL cheer/ pom classes on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13 at SILVERADO HIGH SCHOOL 1650 Silver Hawk Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.

 

DANCE classes (if performing) are assigned to perform in:

• SHOW 1 @ 10:00 am and/or

• SHOW 2 @ 11:30 am and/or

• SHOW 4 @ 1:30 pm

CHEER & POM classes are assigned to perform in:

• SHOW 3 @ 12:45 pm

SHOW ASSIGNMENTS - DANCE CLASSES
We make every attempt to assign siblings and students in multiple classes to the same show - which could result in performing the same routine with another class. Select dance classes or specific dancers may be assigned to perform in more than one show – please see the grid below or see the RECITAL PACKET (available Oct 19). Moving forward, Level 3-5 dance classes, plus certain Level 2 classes, will be assigned to perform in EITHER the Winter Recital OR the Spring Recital, not both. All combo & Level 1 dance classes, plus certain Level 2 classes, will perform in the Winter AND Spring Recitals.

DRESS REHEARSAL – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12 @ SILVERADO HIGH SCHOOL
All performers must attend a MANDATORY dress rehearsal on Saturday, December 12. Performers need to wear/bring their costume(s), as well as all tights, shoes, accessories. Exact report times for each class can be found in the grid below or in the RECITAL PACKET. *Saturday morning cheer classes WILL RUN AS NORMAL on Dec 12. Saturday & Sunday dance classes are CANCELLED on Dec 12 & 13.

RECITAL & COSTUME FEES – DUE OCTOBER 19
All performers have been measured by their teacher. NOTE: Once ordered, costumes cannot be returned, even if unable to perform, the costume is yours to keep.

DANCERS: Costume and recital fees are due by October 19 – if you are on auto-pay these fees will run automatically. If you are not on autopay, please log into iClass or see the front desk prior to October 19 to pay these fees or your child may not be ordered a costume.

CHEERLEADERS: Sign up through iClass by selecting the correct class level.

RECITAL FEE

• $50 per dancer (includes 1 free ticket per dancer to either Show 1 or Show 2 or Show 4)

• $10 per cheerleader (cheerleaders who are also dancers will only pay dancer’s fee)

 

COSTUME FEES

• $40 per class - Cheer & Pom classes

• $65 per class - Bobcats, Pumas, Leopards, Snow Leopards, Panthers, Mini Cougars

• $75 per class* - Cougars, Level 1-5 Classes

*If on the DanceCats Performance Team - costume fees for each class will be sent separately.

RECITAL PACKET – AVAILABLE OCT 19
The RECITAL PACKET will be available for download on October 19. The packet includes important information about dress reheasals and show day, as well as costume details including accessories, required tights, shoes, & hairstyle for each class. Tights can be purchased at the front desk and most types of dance shoes.
 

TERM 2 ENROLLMENT
Performers participating in the Winter Recital must be enrolled for Term 2, which begins October 19. The dance & cheer departments will be closed to new enrollments or trials from Oct 24-Dec 13. During this time, make-up tokens can only be used to make up a class of the same level (Bobcats > Bobcats) or see the front desk to use a token for Open Gym.

ATTENDANCE & PRIVATE LESSONS
The best way to prepare your performer for the upcoming show is to attend class every week! If you are interested in scheduling a private lesson with your child’s teacher for extra practice, private lessons can be purchased in one-hour increments for $120/hour but can be scheduled in half-hour segments – please speak to your child’s teacher directly.

Music & practice videos for each class will be posted to the grid below as they are available.

DANCE TEAM PARENT VOLUNTEERING
DanceCats Performance Team families are required to volunteer one parent to assist with the Winter & Spring Dance Recitals. Volunteer assignments will be sent at least 2 weeks prior to the show and will not interfere with watching your dancer’s performance.
