Elena Csizmas
She is a former international elite gymnast from Romania who competed at the Olympic level of gymnastics. She coaches in our recreational, select and team programs. Elena brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Gymcats team. She has developed drills and training methods for the girls and they all love her! She is safety certified.

Roberta Teixeira
Roberta currently coaches all girls levels at Gymcats, she also teaches pre-school, boys and top level gymnasts..  She also assists with the choreography of the floor and beam routines for all our levels.  Roberta has 29 years experience as a gymnast and coach.  She graduated with a B.A. degree in Physical Education from Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1984 and moved to the U.S.A. in 1993 to learn English.  Roberta was head coach of Sea Wind Gymnastics Compulsory and Optional Girls’ team from 1993 until her move to SCEGA in April 2001.  She moved to Gymcats in February 2011. Roberta was a National Elite judge for 9 years in Brazil and currently judges up to Level 10 in the U.SA.  Roberta was also the coach of the Brazilian Junior National Team at the Pan American Games in1992.

Tehani Douglas
Tehani graduated from Southern Utah University in 2008, where she competed for four years on a full-ride gymnastics scholarship.  Her love for athletics led her to graduate summa cum laude in athletic training.  She is also certified in CPR and first aid.  Before college, she competed for Olympus School of Gymnastics in Utah under Mary Wright.  She was a Junior International Elite Qualifier and competed at the 2000 U.S. Classic.  She was also a member of the 2000 Junior Olympic National Team.  She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in dance, choreography, and performance.  Tehani has a deep passion for the sport of gymnastics.  She appreciates the values and lessons she has learned as an athlete and enjoys passing on those same life values to the next generation of gymnasts.

Deborah Hess-Boland
Deborah has studied dance since the age of 3. She teaches Ballet, and all Team, Diamond, and Jets/Select Ballet classes. She has been with Gymcats for 4 years. She graduated from West Texas A & M in 2002 with a BFA in Dance. While in college she was in the International Folk Dance Company, Lone Star Ballet Company, West Texas A & M Dance Ensemble. She performed in 4 seasons of the Nutcracker 98-2001. She also performed in 3 seasons of the summer musical “Texas the Musical Drama” 98-2000. She also performed throughout Texas and Oklahoma with the WT Dance Ensemble. She has also had the opportunity to go to conventions and workshop including Technique in Taos with Jillana, a former New York City Ballet Dancer and also Tremaine.

Catharina Sharp
Cat is a high energy person that loves kids.  With two school age children of her own, she has a certain knack for connecting with the kids. She is USAG certified in Safety and First Aid, as well as Preschool Gymnastics. She comes to Henderson with coaching experience from Flagstaff, AZ. Cat is a head coach for our Xcel program here at Gymcats.

Cari Perkins
Cari is a pre-school coach at Gymcats. She has over 8 years experience at Gymcats. Her students always love her.

Jamie Jennings
Jamie is a pre-school coach at Gymcats who teaches kittens through felines/tomcats. She is a very popular teacher and one of the most sought after at Gymcats. She teaches with a style that is firm yet loving and all her students love her.

Desiree Jones
Desiree is a coach in our recreational, cheer and tumbling programs. She has been a great addition to Gymcats for many years now and her gymnasts are very fond of her.

Morgan Kidd
Morgan is a beginner through team coach. She is a head coach for our Xcel program and has a great rapport with her students. She is a committed coach who is always eager to improve coaching techniques.

Oxana Postavets
Oxana is a former member of the Moscow circus and is a master of sports of the international class in gymnastics. She coaches beginners through to level 6 team. She is also a coach in our Jets program and has a wealth of knowledge in the sport of gymnastics.

Julie Tandy
Julie grew up in Las Vegas and was a former level 10 gymnast. She has been a great addition to Gymcats for seven years now. Julie coaches our pre-level 4 team girls as well as our recreational classes. She will tell you that she loves working at Gymcats!

Kimberly Sturgis
Kimi was a former level 9 gymnast at Gymcats and is currently a member of our Cheer team and dance program. She is using her knowledge to coach our recreational gymnasts as well as teaches dance classes. Kimi is always smiling and encourages her students to reach their best potential.

Tara Trenholm
With children of her own, Tara has a natural ability in teaching. She uses her fun and caring coaching style in our pre-school and recreational programs.
