USA Gymnastics has created the Clubs Care Campaign.  The Clubs Care Campaign was created to help individuals be more aware of the issue of child sexual abuse, and then suggest ways one can turn that awareness into action.  Just recently, USA Gymnastics did a mailing to the clubs providing them with materials to assist in awareness of the societal issue.  Awareness+Action=Prevention

2013-2020 Women’s New Compulsory Program

 

What:            NEW JO Women’s Compulsory routines and music for Levels 1-5. (Level 6 will be an optional level starting in 2013.)

 

When:           National Workshops to teach the routines will be conducted:

 

                      ·        1st weekend:   May 30 - June 2, 2013….Disneyworld, Florida 

 

                      ·        2nd weekend:  June 6- June 9, 2013….Reno, Nevada

 

                      ·        Regional Workshops….TBA

 

Use:                Competition using the new routines will begin August 1, 2013.

 

Materials:     Date for Release of Compulsory Materials is yet to be determined.

 

Region 1 is going to try to get USAG and the national office to adopt a separate program that will give more boys the opportunity to compete and be successful. If you would like to be on the email list so you are updated on the progress, please email Cassie Rice. Click here

Go For It will be sending a flyer if your club is interested on Saturday, September 18th National Gymnastics Day in helping to break the Guinness Book of World Record for most cartwheels done simultaneously. Lastly we are going to have a coaches training clinic August 23-27 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We are bringing  Olympian Kyle Shewfelt, Rick McCharles and Chris Baraniuk doing Vault, Floor, Bars we also will have Dana Brass a Beam specialist. So if you would like to send any of your staff we would love to have them, I will send you the information as well.
