So you want to be a cheerleader? Cheercats is a great way to start out or expand your existing skills!
Level 1 is the first step to becoming a great cheerleader! kids will learn basic arm positions, jumps, tumbling and stunting. They will also learn chants and basic formation changes that will be performed throughout the year.
Level 2 is the 2nd level in our cheer program and will increase in difficulty in all areas including jumps, motions, tumbling, and stunting. You must have a hurdle round off and good arm motions and great listening skills. Kids will learn how to work in a team structured setting and will also perform throughout the year.
Level 3 cheerleading continues to build on the foundation each cheerleader received in level 2, this class expands stunting, sharp motions and tumbling. A standing back handspring and or a round off back handspring are required. Straight body basket tosses and a combination of three jumps will be performed. They too, will perform throughout the year.
Level 4 is our Jr. Prep Team. It is required that you attend 2x/week and are learning the skills necessary to join our competitive teams. If you do not have the tumbling skills necessary for team, additional tumbling classes will be required. This team is by instructor recommendation only.
These classes focus on basic skills in cheerleading and tumbling so that each child may make a cheer team when they are older on any squad. Tumbling classes are geared towards teaching kids round off back handsprings and more advanced skills.
